Pray for our Zimbabwe team.

Our team is headed to Zimbabwe, Africa from July 20 - August 3. They will be joining a ministry to rural pastors and leaders that was started in 2010 between an American pastor and a Zimbabwean pastor. Our team will help teach in their annual Bible conference, lead a youth camp, as well as provide biblical counseling to those in attendance. They will also offer counseling and Bible study to the caregivers at our Mount missions partner, Harvest Family Village, which houses orphans from all over Zimbabwe.

Our Schedule

Monday, July 20—Travel to South Africa 
We depart DFW, fly through Atlanta, and continue to Johannesburg. Pray for smooth check-in, no baggage issues or extra fees, easy passage through security, and safe travel. 

Tuesday, July 21—Arrival in Johannesburg
Pray that we rest well on the long flight, remain healthy, and have a refreshing overnight stay before continuing our journey. 

Wednesday, July 22— Arrival in Zimbabwe
Pray for a smooth customs process, all luggage to arrive safely, an easy trip to our Airbnb, and a good start as we settle in and purchase groceries. 

Thursday, July 23 through Saturday, July 25—Pastors' Conference
Pray that God's Word is preached clearly and received with open hearts. Several team members will be leading breakout sessions for the first time—pray for wisdom, confidence, and the Holy Spirit's guidance. Pray also for the many counseling opportunities throughout the conference. 

Saturday, July 25 & Sunday, July 26—VBS, Youth Explore & Church Services
Pray that children and youth will respond to the gospel and that many who do not know Christ will be saved. Pray for our team as we preach in various churches and encourage local congregations. 

Monday, July 27 through Thursday, July 30—General Conference & Evening Revivals
Pray for strength and endurance as we complete eight consecutive days of teaching and preaching. Each evening, revival services will be open to the community. Pray that many will come to faith in Christ and that believers will be encouraged. 

Friday, July 31 & Saturday, August 1—Safari & Rest
Pray for safety during our travels and for a time of refreshment as we enjoy God's creation together. 

Sunday, August 2 & Monday, August 3— Return Home
We will travel from Victoria Falls through Johannesburg and Istanbul before arriving home. Pray for safe, restful, and uneventful flights.

  • For the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our families while we are away.  

  • For our team's health and protection from illness, unsafe food or water, and travel-related challenges.  

  • That we would love and encourage one another, serving together with unity and humility.  

  • That God would lead us to the people He wants us to encourage, disciple, and build lasting relationships with.  

  • That in everything we do, Christ would be glorified and His kingdom advanced in Zimbabwe.
