The Mount Kids

The Mount Kids consists of Infants -PreK, Kindergarten-4th Grade, and 5th-6th Graders.

The Mount Kids exists to SHOW Jesus to children so that they GROW to know Him and GO tell others about Him.

Every time kids attend The Mount Kids, parents can expect them to learn meaningful and relevant truths from God's Word.

Kids of all ages, from babies through preteens, will have opportunities to experience God through age-appropriate worship and gospel-centered teaching with lots of high-energy fun mixed in. Everything we do is centered on kids and designed to point them to Jesus!

(Infants – Pre-K) focus on laying biblical foundations of faith that will grow for a lifetime. Foundational concepts about God, Jesus, and the Bible are taught through age-appropriate Bible story and gospel activities. Preschoolers experience God through hands-on learning and the care of loving adult leaders.

(Kindergarten – 4th Grade) focus on biblical literacy in the areas of knowledge, understanding, and application. As children are learning to read, we challenge them to experience God’s word for themselves with hands-on Bible skills development and learning. Our desire is for children to learn, live and love God’s word beginning in childhood and continuing for their entire lives.

(5th & 6th Grade) focus on developing a biblical worldview by putting their faith into action and living out the truth of the gospel. We help them connect the dots between God’s word and their daily lives. We are intentional about helping preteens successfully bridge from children’s ministry to student ministry.

SUNDAYS ARE FUN DAYS!

Classes for all ages (birth through 4th grade) are open every Sunday at 9:00 and 10:30. Children birth - 4th grade are welcome to stay for both hours.*

*Please take note that our Bridge 56 class for 5th and 6th graders only meets at the 9:00 a.m. hour.

Guests, to make Sunday Check In a smoother experience, please pre-register. When you arrive on Sunday morning go to the Welcome Desk, let us know that you pre-registered, we will print your security labels and show you to your kids’ classes.

Bridge 56 (5th-6th Grade)

Attend worship with their families at 10:30 a.m.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

On these Sundays, children will attend worship as a family. However, we will have childcare in the 9 A.M. service only for birth-3 years old.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We understand that first visits can be a little nerve-wracking for kids and parents alike, so our amazing team of volunteers is ready to help you. Stop by the Welcome Desk in the Children’s Education Building (SE Corner of Campus) when you arrive so we can get you checked in. Just look for folks wearing The Mount Kids or NextGen t-shirts. We can’t wait to meet you and your whole family!

A NOTE TO PARENTS

At The Mount, we believe parents are the primary disciple-makers of their kids. Therefore, our desire is to come alongside and partner with you by equipping you with tools, resources, and conversational pieces that will allow you to take the lead as the primary influence in your child's life. Some of the ways we do this by occasionally hosting parenting classes, pointing you to helpful resources, and keeping parents in mind with everything we plan for kids. Parenting is hard and we want to be positive encouragers and a source of support for you. We don’t always know the answer, but our door is always open!

MINISTRY SAFE

The Mount partners with Ministry Safe to provide child safety training to every volunteer who works with minors at The Mount. All volunteers for The Mount Kids complete a criminal background check, including sex offender search, child abuse prevention training, and a one-on-one screening interview. A full copy of The Mount's Children and Student Ministries Safety Policies is available upon request.

The Mount Kids team is made up of parents and volunteers who faithfully share the gospel of Jesus Christ with kids of all ages. We are always ready to welcome new people to serve with us! Do you feel called to invest in the next generation with the love of Jesus or have a desire to plant seeds of faith in the hearts of our youngest attendees at The Mount? Opportunities for leaders, helpers, and greeters are available serving with ages birth through 6th grade at both the 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM service hours. We carefully help each volunteer find the best fit for serving and schedule you according to your availability. SUMMIT PRESCHOOL OF THE MOUNT

The Summit Preschool is a state-licensed weekday preschool ministry of The Mount Church serving children and families of our community with the mission to instill in preschoolers a love for God and a love for learning. Classes are provided during regular school months, Mondays - Thursdays from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, for ages 18 months through 5 years old.
