Orphan Care

The church has a clear directive from scripture to be about caring for orphans.  The Apostle James writes to the church encouraging them to “be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves“. James goes on to give an example, inspired by the Holy Spirit, of what this looks like… an example of true Christianity and he writes…

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

God is at work in our church through adoption and orphan care.  Over the recent years, family after family have been led to adopt or help care for orphans in some way.  One of the things we want to do as a church is celebrate and promote orphan care.

Are you an adoptive or foster family?  Or maybe a family who wants to rally around in the support, love, and care of adoptive and foster families, we would love to include you as part of our Orphan Care team of families. We hold occasional fellowships and trainings; join our team below and you will be added to our communication list.
